Star Equestrians is an all encompassing therapeutic nonprofit program offering therapeutic riding, therapeutic horsemanship, and therapeutic gardening. Our focus is to assist families living with physical, mental, emotional/social disorders.
Star Equestrians offers therapeutic riding lessons to riders of all abilities. All lessons are taught by PATH Intl. Registered Certified riding instructors. Trained volunteers assist with lessons. Our lesson horses are well trained, sturdy ponies who know how to do their job well. A typical lesson lasts one hour. During this hour, the rider will spend at least 30 minutes riding (riding time depends on riders' age and endurance) with the rest of the time spent learning to care for the horse from the ground (grooming, tacking, feeding, leading, ground work). When scheduling riding lessons, we try to work with everyone's schedule so riding days vary from season to season. Give us a call with additional questions.
